Arrowhead Ranchettes
Arrowhead Ranchettes is a nice, small, covenant free mountain ranch subdivision
close to the Spanish Peaks State Wildlife Area, and only 30-40 minutes
to Trinidad, Colorado. Several artists and many spiritual healers oriented
toward "community" make their home here. Mobile homes and manufactured
housing are acceptable and a majority of the mountain parcels have power
and phone available. The land here on most parcels have fairly gentle
terrain with ponderosa pines, douglas firs, and occasional aspens. There
is good year round access on county maintained roads, and several parcels
offer fantastic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the Spanish
Peaks. Elevation here ranges from 7200 -7800 feet.
(If you look real close, you can see Wheeler Peak, the highest point
in New Mexico, just over the top of the "W" in the Arrowhead
sign. In person, at these mailboxes, the peak is very visible with the
naked eye. Wheeler Peak is approximately 65 to 75 miles to the southwest
of these mailboxes. Taos lies just beyond Wheeler Peak.)
