Each parcel of mountain real estate is examined and scrutinized very carefully by our staff, and as each parcel is extensively hiked by our brokers, the unique qualities are noted. No two people are alike and neither are two parcels of mountain land. Our brokers and staff celebrate the uniqueness and individuality of each aspect of the Creator's creation. Our customers are respected as such, and not as "just another potential sale."

The land around the Spanish Peaks (or Wahatoya in Native American tounge for "Breasts of the Mother") is some of the most beautiful mountain land in Colorado. According to Native American lore, it is also some of the most sacred. Most people who move to Southern Colorado do so to obey the deep calling within their hearts. And we respect that. You will not find "hard sell" tactics with our brokers. You will, however, find sincere heart-felt concern for what is in your best interest.

As of November 1st, 2004, Steven Kelly and his wife Kathleen, have taken over the reins as new owners of Colorado Mountain Spirit.com. It is their belief inhonesty, integrity, service, and operating from the heart instead of the "bottom line" that drew Steven to join Colorado Mountain Spirit several years ago. We are here to serve you the best we can!

Steven grew up in a small rural town in Nebraska, where he enjoyed the freedom of the wide open spaces. He attended the University of Nebraska, studying business.

After serving in the Air Force, he spent 32 years in Southern California where he had a career in insurance and finance and owned his own business for 15 years.

In the early Nineties, Steven and his wife Kathleen, began apprenticeships in Native American Medicine with a Medicine Man and Shaman. During the mid-Nineties, they bought land in Southern Colorado and moved to Trinidad in the Summer of '99.

"This is where 'Home' is," they say, wishing only that they would have moved here sooner.

Steven has a spiritual connection to the land in Southern Colorado. His desire is to help people, who also feel a connection to this area, realize their dream by owning their own land here in Southern Colorado. Steven obtained his real estate license in Colorado, and is now owner of Colorado Mountain Spirit.Com, where "our dream is to help you realize your dream".

Laurie has lived in Trinidad since February of 1996 and has been involved in Real Estate since 1997. She specializes in Homes and Investment Properties with particular emphasis on Rental Units. 15 years prior to arriving in Trinidad was spent working for large Property Management Companies in market areas such as Dallas/Ft. Worth, Indianapolis, Phoenix and Chicago.Growing up in a military family, Laurie has lived across the United States but enjoys calling Trinidad her home. “Nowhere else can you find this kind of fresh air, pines, mountains and blue skies” she claims.
